Fullerton Elementary School is located at 4711 North 138th Street in Omaha. It is a PreK-4 Elementary School. Students have computer access in their classrooms as well as the opportunity to work in an instructional computer lab. Daily use is made of the in-house television studio.

Active parent, community, and business involvement provides support for the instructional program at Fullerton Elementary. The school mascot is the falcon, symbolizing the motto and school mission of having all Fullerton Elementary students "Soaring with Confidence," as they prepare for the high technology age in which they will live.

'HOME OF THE FALCONS'

Fullerton's Channel 64, Station F.A.N., located on our school's closed circuit TV airs the daily Fullerton school news.  Our TV news is viewed LIVE every morning at 8:55 a.m. in every classroom via the school's closed-circuit TV channel, thus providing a daily means of communicating and sharing information. It is created, hosted and produced by Fullerton students, with the 4th graders having jobs such as news anchors, weather and lunch reporter and camera controller. These broadcasts focus not only on events happening in our school, but also integrate areas of our school's curriculum.

Spring 2019 rate 59.3%; Goal rate for Spring 2020 63.4% 1.  Engage in high quality tasks that promote reasoning, sense making, and support productive struggle.  2.  Provide opportunities for students to engage in discourse and make connections between ideas and representations.  3.  Utilize the common assessments along with NSCAS, MAP and formative/summative assessments.
 Reading/ELA We will increase the percent of students who are identified as “On-Track” or “College and Career Ready” by 4.1%. Spring 2019 rate 59.3%; Goal rate for Spring 2020 63.4%. 1.  Use core resources to plan and deliver instruction based on state standards.  2.  Provide daily guided reading instruction.  3.  Provide daily literacy opportunities that build rigor.  4.  Provide instructional support to students needing additional assistance with reading to meet the Reading Improvement Act requirements.
 Science We will increase the percent of students identified as “At” or “Above” the grade level norm by 4.1%.  Spring 2019 rate 59.3%; Goal rate for Spring 2020 63.4% 1.  Provide opportunities for students to engage in the Science and Engineering Practices to demonstrate understanding of the Disciplinary Core Ideas and Crosscutting Concepts.  2.  Students will utilize interactive notebooks to demonstrate science learning.
